Manila, Philippines – The Iranun Development Council (IDC) held the Cohesive Masterplan Workshop on October 11–12, 2025, bringing together representatives from Parang, Matanog, Buldon, and Barira to strengthen collaborative governance across the Iranun Corridor in Maguindanao del Norte. The two-day workshop aimed to align local development priorities and advance the corridor’s shared vision and plans for positive peace, climate resilience, and sustainable urban growth.

Sessions were led by experts in climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction (CCA-DRR), urban planning, and public-private and CSO partnerships, through Mr. Benjie Co, MIM (PPP Expert); Dr. Emma E. Porio (Resilience Fellow and Board of Trustee, National Resilience Council; Galing Pook Member); Dr. Nathaniel von Einsiedel (Chairman & Principal Urban Planner, CONCEP Inc.); Galing Pook Member); and Mr. Silvestre Barrameda, Jr. (Executive Director, National Resilience Council).

These sessions provided participants with strategic guidance and tools to enhance their local plans, culminating in a project proposal workshop that integrated these focus areas into each LGU’s development masterplan.

Through this initiative, the IDC reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive, adaptive, and cohesive governance, promoting long-term stability and sustainable progress throughout the Iranun Corridor and the broader BARMM region.
